Out of Kilter Theatre are looking for a male-identifying actor to work on the development of a new, multimedia production incorporating spoken word, physical theatre, music, sound effects and film/digital effects.

Work on the project has been ongoing for some time and the focus, in the first instance, will be to join the other performers to rehearse/record spoken word sections of the piece. This is a paid project and payment will be made for each rehearsal/recording session attended. There may also be opportunities for some scratch performances. Rehearsals and recording sessions will take place in Manchester/Rochdale.

We are also in the final stages of submitting an Arts Council bid to fund a full development project which, if successful, will take place over the course of most of 2026 followed by performances in late 2026 and early 2027.

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, willing/able to make a long-term commitment to the project, is happy to work collaboratively as part of the creative team but also offers energy and edginess to their performance.

We believe every individual brings something unique to a project and we welcome applications from performers of all backgrounds.

Please send CV + headshot to info@outofkiltertheatre.co.uk by Sunday 28th September (or contact us via this e-mail if you want to find out more about the project before sending in your details).

We plan to hold auditions in early October.
