Once upon a time, there was a soldier, home from the war; he has returned yet he feels disconnected as if he doesn’t belong and so he chooses to sit alone, in silence, waiting. Then, one day, a faery falls into his room. She wants to take him with her, into the other place; she wants to put him back together …
‘Things of Darkness’ is our debut production.
It is a fable for our time about the shadows that are around and within us; the things we don’t want to know about and that we try to ignore or forget, even if we bear some responsibility for them. It is a dark tale about a soldier and a faery, each lost in their own world, and their journey into a place of strange and unsettling encounters that leads, ultimately, to sadness but also the beginning of a return to the light.
